Commitment to Authenticity

OUR COMMITMENT TO AUTHENTICITY

At Decanted, we wholeheartedly understand the concerns around counterfeit fragrances within the decanting and sample space. We only use 100% genuine perfumes purchased from authorised UK/EEA retailers & distributors - no imitations, knock-offs or diluted fragrances.

We can't promise that you'll love every fragrance you try, but we can guarantee it will always be authentic.

Although rare, unfortunately we ourselves do still receive emails, reviews and feedback from customers claiming that they have received fake, watered down or non-genuine fragrances - every reputable fragrance sample company, including us, is not immune to these claims, as we have grown to accept that it comes with the territory of decanting.

The performance, scent, and overall perception of any fragrance can vary from person to person. Factors such as individual skin chemistry, environmental conditions, and natural production variations - including batch-to-batch or even bottle-to-bottle differences can all influence how a fragrance smells and performs due to a number of factors. These variations are normal and do not indicate a fault with a fragrance.

We strongly encourage customers to do your own research online into how a particular fragrance smells and performs or if there are any perceived issues with it, before trying a sample.

Buying more expensive or niche fragrances does not always equal to improved performance - like most luxury goods, you are often paying a luxury branding markup.

If you have not previously experienced a fragrance from our store, we strongly recommend trying a smaller size sample first.

Where applicable, we're happy to provide images of bottles and proof of purchase upon request.

IMPORTANT

You're always more than welcome to contact us if you have any questions prior to ordering.

Still concerned about authenticity and do not feel 100% confident ordering from our store? With absolute respect - we simply would rather you did not place an order with us.

We will refuse any returns or refund requests where a customer has used the sample, then subsequently claims it is 'fake', 'watered down' or 'diluted'.
